Hi Jim!

I'm Al's wife and we went to pick up the car from it's storage place on Saturday. We moved the car to
our nephew's house temporarily, he has a place to keep it out of the weather until we clean up our
garage for this GEM. We got the car from a really good friend, Don, who is retiring to Tennessee and
decided he couldn't take it with him (or maybe it was his wife who decided). The car has been in
his family for 45 years and over the years he has moved the vehicle each time he had a new job. He
had not gotten to work on the car the way he wanted and didn't think he would even in retirement.

It was a sad day for him, and a good day for Aleck(Al). He got it running on Friday and made
arrangements to pickup the car Saturday. Attached find pictures of Al getting it onto the trailer. He
already had to try to fix a problem. Loosing antifreeze. Good news is!!
IT"S NOT THE Radiator Bad news is the radiator cap needs to be replaced or reworked. It does not seal
enough to pressurize the water system. Maybe you can help find us a lead for a new cap or repair.

Lots of work to be done, but to have it a running engine is the biggest accomplishment. The engine was
rebuilt in 1978 and has only had 1000 miles added. Total milage a little over 60,000. He as
cleaned some of the chrome and it looks really good. We are going to build a website, to chronical the
rework. Don can see the progress as we update the site. We will look forward to getting any advice
or information on this vehicle from anyone who can help.
